A National Park is an area of land controlled and maintained by the government for recreational benefits, usually to help wildlife and nature thrive. Kenya boasts 35 National Parks and Reserves which are maintained by Kenya Wildlife Service. As well as overseeing the running of the reserves, KWS also act as the security in the parks to cut down on poachers and illegal activity. The entrance fee money collected at park gates goes back in to the conservation of the reserves.

Virtually every person who visits Kenya goes to Masai Mara, and with good reason . This is the Kenyan section of the wildly evocative Serengeti plains, and the wildlife is abundant. These are also traditionally the lands of the Masai, but these people have been displaced in favor of the animals.The mara ( as its often abbreviated to) is a 320-sq-km slab of basically open rolling grassland dotted with the distinctive flat topped acacia trees tucked away in the south west corner of the reserve.

Our journey starts upon arrival in Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. We are taken to the hotel where we spend our first night in Nairobi the capital city of Kenya. The city is crowded during the day and noisy especially from the traffic. But the uptown of Nairobi is a bit calm and the perfect place for your rest.

While planning your Kenya safari, try and include Hell’s Gate National park in Naivasha. I went there with my family 2 years ago and i have decided to tell everybody about this wonerful place in Kenya. We went on a 8 days safari including Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha (Hell’s gate) and finished our safari in Samburu National park. Our agent “Inside Africa Budget Safaris” told us that Hells gate was part of the itenerary, we didnt say no since she was the expert. I have always wanted to visit Amboseli National reserve in Kenya. I had heard a lot about Amboseli National Reserve formerly known as Amboseli National Park. From her famous big Jumbos( Elephants) to the view of the snow-capped peak of Mt Kilimanjaro, the park is one you cant miss to visit in Kenya. My grandfather always talked about their trip to Amboseli, he loved Elephants and in these place he found all that he wanted to see.
